Our City as a recruitment tool
Greenville has always been a city that’s constantly transforming and moving forward. From the earliest founders to the Textile Capital of the World to today, Greenville has offered a great opportunity for its citizens.
As we look to the future, Greenville will continue to need great leadership. Greenville faces challenges, along with our great opportunities.
These opportunities require a new type of leadership. Leaders who are engaged in the issues, capable of big picture thinking, and experienced in achieving results.
The major issues facing Greenville over the next 4 to 10 years fall in three categories: growth and progress, neighborhoods, and economic development.
Obviously, there are other issues affecting Greenville. Important issues like transportation systems, traffic calming and planning, Public Safety, affordable housing, effective city services, green spaces, parks and recreation and fiscal responsibility. And of course we need to be sensitive in how we address the needs of our citizens, from senior citizens to young families to any people who feel disenfranchised.
The vision Matt has for Greenville is to be the city where families grow, communities thrive, and dreams are realized.
